Life Support Equipment
CIACS’ Life Support Systems are all approved by both The Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for entry and escape from hazardous oxygen deficient atmospheres. The system holds approval NO. TC-13F-214.- – Our life Support System is not what is most commonly known as a Soft mask system. Instead we use helmets that securely cover the entire head region and locks over the users head. This ultimately prevents accidental or unintentional removal in a hazardous environment. The life support console oversees the control of the air supply via its operator.
Designated operators have been trained to handle the following:
– Routine entry and exit operations-
– Evacuations-
– Rescues-
– Equipment troubleshooting and repair
